Searching for goods and services on Mytrade.kz: requests, listings and contact with sellers
Searching for the right item often begins with a short name: phone, sofa, laptop. But the same words can mean different needs. One buyer wants a compact work computer, another needs a device for studying, a third values the screen and the ability to connect multiple monitors. The “I want this” request on Mytrade helps record main needs and search conditions in one place. It’s a convenient way to outline your criteria before comparing specific listings. A saved query is not an order and does not obligate you to buy. It also doesn’t mean an offer has been found or sellers have been notified.
The advantage of a structured request over scattered notes is a clear set of conditions: what’s needed, which category applies, where you’re searching, your budget, and how long the request is valid. These conditions help compare options more systematically, but the final decision is yours. If no suitable offer exists yet, you can continue browsing later. Mytrade does not guarantee product availability, seller response, or deal conclusion based solely on a saved request. The clearer you understand your own needs, the easier it is to check real listings and ask meaningful questions before purchase.
Continue searching independently
A request helps save conditions but doesn’t replace viewing listings and evaluating offers. You can return to the goods and services catalog, compare options, and clarify details with the chosen seller. Pay attention to descriptions, photos, item condition, location, and transfer terms. When searching for a service, prepare questions about work scope, materials, and available dates. Do not consider the advertisement examples on this landing page as real requests or confirmed offers. They show possible search topics and do not include fictitious prices, buyer counts, or availability guarantees.
What sellers need to understand
“I want this” requests are real buyer needs with a specified category, region and budget. Relevant sellers receive the request in notifications and MyChat and can reply or send an offer. Clear listings with up-to-date specifications, condition and terms help the buyer choose you faster.
I want this — product or service search request
Save your search request on Mytrade.kz. Specify the product or service, final category, country, city, budget, and validity period.
How to formulate a product or service query
An “I want this” request is a structured description of what you are looking for: a product or service, category, country and city, budget and validity period. Once saved, Mytrade automatically matches new listings against the request and sends a notification when a suitable offer appears. The six steps below help you phrase the request precisely.
Formulate a short and clear query
The name of the product or service plus one or two key details — 2 to 100 characters.
In the search field, enter the name of the product or service and the most important specification. For example, instead of the general word “furniture,” write “two-seater sofa for a small room.” Don’t try to fit the entire purchase story into a short field. The query length ranges from two to one hundred characters: enough to name the item and one or more key features. Use clear words, not a long chain of unrelated keywords. If you need a specific brand or model, include it in the query. If there is no strict model preference, describe the item's purpose so you don’t limit your search prematurely.
Select the exact category
A final category rather than a general section, so the request lands in the right topic.
Category helps assign your need to the right section. In the form, you must choose the final category, not a general section with subcategories. This is especially helpful when the same word applies to different goods or services. Construction machinery, its rental, and operator services can mean various needs, so first decide which result you want. Don't select a random category just to submit the form. If the request's title and the chosen section contradict, revise and clarify. A structured query is most useful when its main fields describe one task.
Consider country and city
The country is required; the city is optional if proximity or the place of service matters.
To save a request, the country is required. City can be added if you want to find nearby offers or specify the service location. For example, when looking for furniture transport, location affects conditions, but for small item purchases, delivery from another city may be acceptable. The chosen city alone doesn't confirm the seller operates in your area or is ready to deliver. Such details are checked in the listing and clarified in communication. After changing the country, verify the city choice: it must belong to that country. If the city isn't crucial, you can leave this optional field blank.
Enter budget and currency
A reference amount and currency within which you are ready to consider offers.
The maximum budget is your search guide, not a price promise from Mytrade or the seller. Enter an amount you are genuinely willing to consider. If the budget is not yet defined, you can leave it empty and return later to compare listings. When budget is filled, select the currency so the amount has a clear meaning. For services, specify the scope of work separately: the same sum might cover different volumes, materials, or extra costs. For goods, pay attention to completeness and condition. Delivery, installation, and other ancillary costs are best clarified before deciding.
Select request validity period
30 days by default; another available period can be chosen before saving.
The term shows how long the request remains relevant. The form offers options supported by the current Mytrade system. The default is thirty days; before saving, you can pick another available period. Base the choice on your plans: urgent purchases and flexible timelines require different terms. The validity period is not a deadline for service completion, delivery, or seller availability. It does not guarantee results by a set date. If your situation changes, consider this when searching and communicating with sellers. Do not create multiple identical active requests just to increase chances of a response.
Saving request and logging in
The form can be filled in before signing in: the entered conditions are kept until you log in.
You can fill the form before logging in. To save the request, you must log into Mytrade or register. When login begins from the form, the entered details and selected period are passed through the existing saving scenario in the current tab. This allows continuing the request creation after login. Before submitting, check the title, category, country, city, and amount. Correct any mandatory field errors. Do not include passwords, payment details, or other unnecessary info in your search phrase. Use the platform’s communication tools to discuss and negotiate specific offers.
