Crimping is a mandatory pressure check of the heating system before starting. It is needed not “for show”, but to identify weak connections before you close the pipes with finishing.

What should be done correctly:

1. Check the entire system (radiators + collector + mixing units + underfloor heating, if any).

2. Keep the pressure on time, not 5-10 minutes. It is important not only to raise the pressure, but also to withstand it in order to see a drop.

3. Control of each connection: threads, press fittings, collector outlets, taps, safety groups.

4. Recording of readings: initial/control pressure, test time, result.

5. Check after warming up: heating may show micro-leaks that are not visible in “cold” water.

What to ask the contractor: “Will there be a protocol/photo of the pressure gauge?”. “Will you check the collector and the mixing unit?“. "Will there be a test after warming up?”.

AURAVENT performs crimping and leakproofness control in stages — this reduces the risk of leaks and unplanned expenses.
