Hybrid system with a battery storage

3 MW Hybrid Solar Power Plant with Storage in Malaysia

Solar power station with a 3–5 MWh lithium-ion storage for a remote region of Malaysia: light around the clock and reduced diesel fuel costs.

About the project

The project is designed for areas where connection to the state grid is limited: islands and rural areas. The station generates electricity during the day, and the storage system supplies it in the evening, at night, and during cloudy weather.

The complex is based on monocrystalline modules with an efficiency of 20–22%, hybrid inverters that manage battery charging, and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 3–5 MWh. An intelligent monitoring system allows remote supervision of operations and optimization of energy consumption. The panels are designed for 25 or more years of service, and the batteries for 10–15 years.

We handled the design, equipment procurement, construction, installation, connection, and commissioning.

The station helps provide electricity to remote communities, supports Malaysia's climate goals, and reduces energy costs for local businesses and agriculture.
