100 kW solar power plant on the data center roof: up to 150,000 kWh per year and about 30% savings on electricity.
About the project
The data center roof turned out to be a convenient site: free space, direct sunlight, and high daytime consumption. Here we installed a grid-connected power station that operates in parallel with the existing infrastructure and covers part of the daytime load.
Monocrystalline panels with 23% efficiency and modern grid inverters were used. Production data is displayed in a real-time monitoring system, so the site owner can see how much energy has been generated and how much money has been saved.
Stages: development of the concept tailored to the roof structure and customer's needs with production and payback calculations, procurement of equipment according to international standards, electrical installation work and preparation for safe connection, installation of panels and inverters, integration with the site network and monitoring setup, test runs and optimization.
The project supports the customer's environmental strategy: fewer emissions and lower costs. The payback period is about 5 years, after which the station provides pure savings.
